BELAC is the Belgian accreditation body, officially recognised at both national and European levels. Its mission is to guarantee the competence, impartiality, and reliability of laboratories, inspection bodies, and conformity assessment bodies. In practice, BELAC accreditation means that a laboratory or body complies with the rigorous requirements of an international ISO standard. In the case of QUALIPSO, this concerns ISO 17020, the same level as Vinçotte, for example.

In the context of cleanliness inspections, this accreditation confirms that the measurements carried out follow recognised methods and rigorous procedures.
